Child Safe Standards

At Ardeer South Primary School we are committed to comply with Ministerial Order 870 — Child Safe Standards — Managing the risk of child abuse in schools, which outlines how the Child Safe Standards apply in schools.

The Child Safe Standards are compulsory minimum standards for all Victorian schools, to ensure they are well prepared to protect children from abuse and neglect. The policies and procedures outlined on this page support our school to create and maintain a child safe organisation and protect students from all forms of abuse.

Our Reconciliation Week ceremony was very moving. Student’s reflected on what they had learned about reconciliation, we raised the Aboriginal flag and collaboratively worked on a whole school display. All students have placed a hand with their names on our flag to demonstrate our commitment to respecting the traditional custodians of the land!
